Finally, done!

J's housecoat is finally done and my challenging dress which had so many sections. The reviews of both should show up soon on the Pattern Review widgets at the right. J was excited about
the pockets which I put over the side seams, just below her sleeves. Actually she helped me determine where they would be. I was going to put them right at the hem which she pointed out would be too low. I do wish I'd risked on the dress and sewn it in velvet but it's fine in velour. Looking at this photo, though, I think it's time to replace the eight-year-old shoes!

Love the dress Shelley, what a challenge with all the alterations on so many pieces and in a knit as well. Give yourself a pat on the back. J looks so excited with her new housecoat, she is really growing up fast!! Enjoy the warmer weather we are going to have for a bit.

This Burda dress is also on my list of patterns I would like to make. I have the fabric too but was hesitant because of all the intricate seaming. Yours turned out great. Love the color1
