Holiday Monday. Our visitors left this morning and I thought how wonderful it would be to rest, read, spend the day sewing. Except we have a five-year-old. So we went for a long bike ride. A few months ago we invested in a bicycle that attaches to Joel's since she'd grown out of the bike trailer. J loves riding behind her Dad. It's also caught the eye of a few boys in her Kindergarten class who've pointed it out to their parents. The photo was taken during the test drive in early July on a coolish day when shorts were possible. Today, we donned warmer clothes including mitts, returning home tuckered out. J can choose to pedal or coast but it helps her Dad if she continues pedaling particularly on the hills! We made cookies later and I did get some sewing done.
